In preparation for the release of Targon version 2 this week, we are outlining the key elements of an effective incentive curve and our objectives for the new version. Our aim is to move away from a plateau curve for the subnet, opting instead for an exponential curve where competition is not based on registration.
There are two primary goals for version 2:
Increased Competition Over Time: The new version is designed to ensure that the level of competition escalates progressively. This dynamic approach will encourage continuous engagement and innovation among participants.
Simplicity in Incentive Enhancement: We aim to make it straightforward for miners to understand how to increase their incentives. Clear and simple guidelines will be provided to ensure that all miners can maximize their potential rewards.
By enabling miners to serve a greater number of models, we can tap into niches that many other providers cannot reach. This strategy eliminates competition based solely on registration, fostering a more diverse and inclusive ecosystem.
We are excited to announce that v2.0.0 will be officially launched Thursday June 6th. To provide further insights and answer any questions, we will host a livestream on Friday. We look forward to your participation and feedback as we embark on this next phase of Targon’s development.
The Manifold Labs team is proud to announce our commitment to a new media schedule designed to better incorporate our community into our company's goals and activities, including this blog! This schedule includes a commitment to weekly Friday livestreams with our CEO, Robert Myers, where he will field questions, cover technical notes, and bring on guests to discuss new ideas. Additionally, we have recommitted to our bi-weekly Thursday announcements, which are posted in our Manifold Discord. We encourage everyone to join in on our discussions there. Over the last week the Manifold Labs team has been attending various Consensus events here in Austin TX. This includes the Akash Panel with CEO Robert Myers. The team enjoyed networking and learning more about other projects!
